No, not a bouncy castle.

A literal castle.

It sounds surreal that those words are coming out of my mouth. Is this really my life?

I will be giving my Caregiver 2.0 Workshop to the Association of Christian Childcare Administrators on June 9th, 2025. I had the pleasure of attending their annual conference at Hendrick Home for Children and absolutely LOVE their mission of taking in orphaned kids and creating a home environment for them. These organizations, along with many in their network, have truly helped “the least of these” (Matthew 25) and embody what James 1:27 defines as “pure and faultless religion: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction.”

My mission is to take care of the caregivers in these roles. When the caregivers are well, everyone under their care is better off. I get the incredible opportunity to proactively “water the grass” by supporting the administrators and house parents so that there are fewer fires to put out with the youth they look after.

PS – I guess from here on out, I can just put “I keynoted in a castle” across the top of my resume and leave the rest of it blank. Lol.
